About the Project
As a firm with a mantra of being built “for entrepreneurs, by entrepreneurs,” it was time to redesign our website to reflect how much we truly want to keep the Entrepreneur as our main focus.
Sometimes the world of Venture Capital can feel like, “Look what we did!” or “Go us! We’re great.” And while we do hope people think we are great, we really wanted our focus to be on the entrepreneur.
We are a team of former entrepreneurs ourselves and know the blood, sweat, and tears it takes to push a venture up a hill. We want the entrepreneurs to see in our new site that we are there for them.
We want them to think, “Damn. I want those people on my team.”
We want them to know, this isn’t about us or our egos. This is about their venture and what their venture will do to make the world a better place.
So, this new website is all about the Entrepreneur. Our current entrepreneurs, and hopefully...the future ones who are soon to join the Next Coast portfolio.

About the Design
Simple. Clean. Sassy. Pointed.
We wanted to cut the marketing fluff with our design.
Do you ever feel like all venture capital sites kind of say the same thing?...And yes, there is no getting around the basics of, “Hi, we are a VC firm.” But we also wanted the site to say, “Look, we took the time to write the copy on this website ourselves. We aren’t robots. This really is us brainstorming in a Google Doc.”
We want everyone who visits the site to feel our humanity.
At the end of the day, we are a team of entrepreneurs looking for more entrepreneurs to do more entrepreneurship together...because we love it.
You’ll notice the clean lines and simple yet bold colors that mimic our brand voice. We speak straight to the point and boldy, yet we also like to have a little bit of fun. Don’t believe us? Follow us on Twitter for proof.

We have many pages for you to explore.
Our Themes Page outlines our investing themes. If you’re thinking, “Investing themes?...” That’s fair. Check out our blog on why we as a firm invest in themes, not sectors.
